Clear Sound Solutions

About us

We believe every resident — regardless of physical health needs, cognitive condition or disability — deserves the chance to hear clearly, communicate confidently and stay connected to the world around them. Hearing health is not a luxury. It is fundamental to dignity, wellbeing and quality of life.

Clear Sound Solutions is dedicated to improving the hearing health and overall wellbeing of care home residents through safe, professional ear care delivered in familiar surroundings. Untreated wax build-up can hit communication, confidence and quality of life hard. For many residents, hearing difficulty leads to isolation, frustration and less engagement with loved ones and staff. Our mission is simple: restore clarity, comfort and connection.

Origins

Our story

After working in the care sector for several years, our founder saw that ear and hearing health was often overlooked in routine care — left until it became a problem rather than managed as part of quality of life.

Following advanced clinical training with TympaHealth, a service first delivered independently to individual care homes quickly showed measurable impact. Residents became more engaged. Communication improved. Families noticed the difference.

Hands-on experience made something else clear: hearing loss linked to wax build-up is far more common than many homes expect. A large share of residents experience problematic wax at some stage. What began as a service to individual homes grew into a broader mission — a structured, proactive approach to hearing care that more residents can access in good time, whether through a single-home agreement or a programme across a care group.

Clear Sound Solutions was built to change how hearing health is prioritised in care settings: not as an afterthought, but as an essential part of quality care.

How we work

Our approach and clinical standards

We collaborate with TympaHealth, using their industry-leading equipment and accredited clinical training to deliver safe, technology-led ear care.

By bringing professional ear care into the home, we remove the need for stressful external appointments and treat people in a calm environment they already know. We believe high-quality ear and hearing care should sit inside a structured, preventative framework — not only when something has already gone wrong. That approach supports quality standards aligned with Care Quality Commission expectations.

Otoscopy images, hearing screening, reports and — where needed — remote ENT review or audiologist referral all form part of that pathway. Hearing aids themselves are arranged separately by the resident or family when a referral is appropriate.

Assurance

Regulation and quality

Regulation and quality assurance sit at the centre of how we work. We adhere to nationally recognised clinical guidelines and best-practice standards for safety, effectiveness, governance and accountability in ear care.

Detailed reports, visual evidence and assessments after each visit give homes clear, auditable records that strengthen their quality framework, support inspection readiness, and show a commitment that goes beyond basic requirements.

  • Practitioners hold enhanced DBS checks and appropriate training for the services delivered.
  • Professional indemnity, public and products liability, and employers’ liability insurance are held; certificates are available on request.
  • UK GDPR processing is documented in a Data Processing Addendum when we act as processor for a home.
